Elephant Legs

I love high waisted super wide leg jeans and am always glad when I feel like they are fashion appropriate. Why? Well, cause honestly they make my legs look longer and therefore skinnier ;)

The only downfall to them is that they totally hide your shoes... Hi shoes! I still love you.

And what great shoes they are! I love them. The bows are actually raw edge snake tied into a bow. Very cool. Plus I love the stitch detail on the platform...

What do you guys think? I know these types of jeans can sometimes go into mom jean territory a la Jessica Simpson... haha

Jet Setting

What do you wear on your very first ride in a private jet?? Louboutin of course!

I'm really very proud of myself. I bought my first pair of "sensible" shoes from Monsieur Louboutin. They are honestly the most comfortable (non flat) shoes I own! I love them.

(jean leggings- Dylan and George, top- I forget but I got it at Intermix , sweater- BP)

We were lucky enough to go to Napa in my dad's friends (the Azrias) plane. Florence Azria is a fellow shoe blogger!! So cool.
We went for my oldest and dearest friend, and fellow shoe designer, Jessica Palermo's wedding to the AMAZING Marc Salomon. It was so beautiful I wanted to stay forever.

I wore one of my favorite dresses from the Rodarte for Target collection to the wedding. I love this dress even though my dad says it makes me look pregnant. Pshh. What does HE know? ;)
I'm also wearing Betsey Johnson shoes but you can;t really tell...

My beautiful mom wore a Celine dress and Badgley Mischka shoes, my baby sis wore Betsey Johnson head to toe, and Katie there on the left is in Theory with Report ballet flats.

The bride wore Monique Lhuillier... and look STUNNING

It was such a beautiful wedding, and definitely the most fun wedding I've ever been to!

On the way home it was all work!

Just a little champagne ;)

I've always wanted to fly private and I wasn't sure if I ever would. It was as cool as I imagined and I hope to do it again some day.

When Water Attacks!

STORM WATCH 2010!

Stupid rain.

It was only sprinkling when I got dressed and I felt like a smart ass when I pulled these shoes out. "I'll put on my rain pumps" I chuckled to myself...

Good traction on these babies. Talk about non-slip, right?

Then came the rain...

Time for a little change of clothes.

I love any excuse to wear my Harajuku Lovers Rain boots. I hardly ever wear shoes I designed because for some reason it feels pretty cheesy, but these are so cute and technically I didn't "design" them cause kick ass Jolie designed the print on them.
ANYWAY...

I guess the rain isn't so bad as long as I'm prepared and my hair is covered. ;)

(tights- Urban Outfitters, skirt- BP, sweater- J.Crew, hoodie and boots- Harajuku Lovers, heels- YSL, belt- found in a market in rural China... seriously)

Me on Your TV?

Yep- that was me!

Thanks to everyone who emailed, texted, and Facebooked me last night to tell me they thought they saw me on TV. I was out to dinner with our friends the Walkers, when both Christie's and my cell phone starting blowing up at about 8:10pm (Christie was with me at the taping).

I just got around to watching it and I am somewhere between embarrassed and excited. Probably embarrassed that I'm excited...

Here is the first shot of Christie and I... I was surprised to see myself on TV for a good solid 4 seconds (14 minutes and 56 seconds to go?) looking bored and tired- which I was NOT, even after a long 4 hour shooting time. Even though they showed it in the beginning, this was shot towards the end... but anyway, here I am. They told us not to look into the camera but it looks like I kind of am? With my right eye anyway.

THEN... after the first or second commercial break- there I am again, only this time I look happy and it was a a quick second.

Did I mention I love Cat Deely? Well I do. And here she is looking stunning, and ever so leggy as usual in a Christopher Kane for Topshop dress.

And Mary Murphy... as charmingly annoying as usual.

My sister was on too! Aint she cute!? Haaaay sissy!
And finally- a couple more shots at the end...

It was a fun day, though super tiring. We went to Swingers after for some vegan nachos (amazing) and way too many french fries!

I learned an important lesson for anyone living in the greater Los Angeles area... if you're on a TV show where they show the audience, and you may be on... try less mouth open "woooooooo"ing and more smiling and clapping.

HI MOM!

(sweater- JCrew, top- Joie, shorts- F21,)

Hello Friends!

I'm back from Maui and back already in action! I had a day full of meetings today and am starting on my next Betsey Johnson and Harajuku lines for Summer 2010! Yippee!

I took these photos the night before leaving- so I'm sort of cheating by posting week old pictures, but you guys haven't seen them yet. ;)
My tan is ridiculous- I'm super dark for being gone all of 4 days and I'll post some more tomorrow but I just wanted to show you these shoes! Another great sale find at Intermix! Yay!

(top- F21, shorts- J.Crew, shoes- Por La Victoire)

They're Pour la Victoire and I think they're the perfect shade of neutral. They're strappy and opened up enough to wear now, and a great transition into Fall :)
They have them HERE at Bloomingdales in black, and HERE at heels.com in green or cognac.

Here's a similar style from Por la Victoire that I absolutely LOVE and am contemplating buying. (also found on heels.com)

So cute, right?? That great neutral color with a pop of color! Yes please!

4th of July Getaway

Ben and I decided to get away for the weekend since our town gets a little out of hand for the 4th of July. So it was off to Palm Springs to stay at the beautiful Viceroy hotel. I went on a little mini shopping spree and bought most of these clothes at Nordstrom in their Brass Plum dept. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop for pretty cheap basics.

(dress- BP, wedges- Chanel, tote- Goyard, glasses- Ray Ban)

(tank- JCrew, skirt- BP, shoes- Christian Louboutin, hat- Meilsa)

(skirt and tank- BP, shoes- Chanel, tote- Celine)

(onsie- vintage, shoes- Harajuku Lovers)

So I'm obviously obsessed with my new hat. I thought that it would be the perfect Palm Springs accessory! There's this awesome little hat store over at the Lab in Costa Mesa called Arth. They have some seriously great hats for guys and girls.
Anyway- just wanted to show you my poolside wardrobe lineup. The weather was beautiful if not a little too hot. The hotel was a perfect getaway and I recommend it to any of you who love to relax and have a great laid back vibe around you. We met some really cool people from LA and everyone was super friendly and sweet. We can't wait to go back!
