Must Have Shoes and Sandals

One of my weaknesses are shoes (sandals). Whenever ever I like one, I'll never have the "inner peace" until I own it. It's funny because sometimes I tend to have nightmares about them.

I enjoyed the article posted on Net-A-Porter. It was entitled as "Sole Searching", an "IT" list of some must have shoes and sandals for women who are always on the go in terms of fashion. It also include some fashion tips and tricks on how to flaunt the shoes and sandals. Here they are:

Funny that a pair of really nice shoes make us feel good in our heads - at the extreme opposite end of our bodies. ~Levende Waters

Kate Hudson's WildAid Photo Shoot in Africa

Last year, Kate Hudson teamed up with celebrity hairstylist David Babaii to endorse a new line of hair care and styling products, "David Babaii for Wild Aid". The products contain natural ingredients and are free of sulfates, chemical preservatives, animal products and animal testing.

This year, Kate and David had a photo session in Africa with the lions and will donate 10 percent of their proceeds to the global wildlife conservation organization, WildAid. WildAid campaigns worldwide to end illegal wildlife trade, works with governments and communities to raise awareness and stop the buying of endangered wild animals and products.

Here's the sneak peek of the making of the new ad campaign in Africa. In this "In the Wild" photoshoot, the pair celebrated “the nature in beauty and the beauty in nature.”

Pretty Nails

French manicures are always nice but this season creamy is dreamy! :)

Picture and article from US Magazine

Stop and Smell the Floral!

Funky? Yes.
Sweet? Yes.
Hard to wear? Maybe.
A must have shoe for Spring? Totally!

I am loving this floral shoe by Dries Van Noten. I love these kind of statement shoes. Worn with a simple outfit, these shoes would make any spring day brighter. I've always been a fan of Dries Van Noten. Their shoes as of late have been right on target! This shoe is no different. With all the florals I've seen from all the designers from Prada to Gucci, I think it's safe to say that this is a big trend for Spring. I think going with a cute floral print shoe is an easy way to do it without over doing it.
It's hard to find though. I've seen it in just about every March fashion magazine, but only one place to buy it online. Browns of London has them for 300 pounds, which is what? Like $600 US?
Well, hopefully you are all on the same page as me when it comes to this shoe. I think some people might think it borders tacky, what with the mixing of prints... but I think they got it just right. :)

Fashion Bloopers By Claudia Schiffer and Sarah Jessica Parker

Celebrities are not perfect for they are humans too. But in the world they lived in, mistakes are not easily forgotten especially if those moments were captured by paparazzi's cameras.

Let's talk about Claudia Schiffer, a supermodel and mother of two. She posed for Chanel's maestro (Karl Lagerfeld) photoshoot in New York's Central Park when she stumbled to the ground. She looked stunning in elaborate spats and a beret but falling to the ground appears be a big joke.

This scence is like a dejavu of what happened to Sex and the City actress Sarah Jessica Parker as she slipped at the top of a flight of stairs during a glamorous shoot for Vogue with famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

However, what's important is how they stand up after the big fall.. :D

Ichi's "Be The Babe" Campaign Ads

Ichi Jeans added up some humor in their latest campaign ad, "Be The Babe". Their ads feature one babe wearing Ichi jeans posing in the midst of animals: chicken, monkey, cow and bird. Indeed, it's a great way of showing how to "be the babe".

Perfectly Sassy...

O-M-G is all I can say about these delicious pieces of heaven from Nicholas Kirkwood. How sexy are these babies!? haha. I love the sassy angled platform, and I'm always a fan of mixed materials like the suede and lizard combo on this shoe. And pink? Seriously? I am a BIG fan of pink, especially on the rare occasion that someone gets it right.

I love what's happening with color right now. We're seeing a lot of neons paired with neutrals. I love that kick of color! It's so cool and unexpected. How cute would these shoes look on your sun kissed gams if you paired them with some cute little white shorts? Ugh- hurry up and get here Spring!!!

I've got to go find me some lemonaid, but I just wanted to share another one of my favorite shoes this season. Love them? Hate them? What do YOU think? Either way, you can find them at Brown's of London for about $800

Body- Painted Swimsuits From Sports Illustrated

For 16 years, Sports Illustrated (SI) features some body-painting photos - the fine art of painting swimsuits right onto the models' skin.

This year, the body-painted swimsuits are incredibly sexy and realistic! Painted by Joanne Gair, Reyna Pecot and Isaac Prado, models Marisa Miller, Jessica Gomes, Quiana Grant and Tori Praver wore nothing but body paint. SI created an illusion of a swimsuit with paint directly on the skin.

I love this shoe!

Ok, so I realize that we've all seen this shoe already, but I just cant get over it. I honestly didn't think too much about it until I went to dinner with a friend of mine and she was rocking them in red. Ever since, they've been floating around in my dreams. Taunting me. I was hoping the Easter bunny would drop them off in a basket for me, but... no dice. They are my idea of the perfect sexy spring/summer sandal. They look daringly high, but with a big platform in front, they are surprisingly comforable! I have the Fall '07 pump version and I swear to you I could wear them all night long. Anyway, I just wanted to talk about a shoe I love since the last two posts were negative. ;)

These shoes are $780 and you can find them here: Barney's

Olay Total Effects: Surgical Makers Ad Campaign

Olay Total Effects line of anti-aging products has captured the attention of women all over the world. That's because Total Effects is a system of moisturizers and cleansers that work together to fight multiple signs of aging that concern women.

In their latest campaign ad: “Surgical makers can do prettier things”, they featured three faces of women with drawings and used surgical markers as pencils. It definitely tells us that with Olay, there’s no need for the the ladies to go under the knife!
