Amanda Seyfried on Colorful Glamour March 2012 Cover
Just like Harper's Bazaar March 2012 issue, Glamour magazine had also implemented a little makeover. For their March 2012 issue, Glamour features Amanda Seyfried in a Pierre Balmain top, Hudson jeans and layers of makeup. She's also sitting in a bedroom, holding a bright yellow blowdryer. As you can see, the magazine issue looked brighter compared to the past issues. Do you like Glamour March 2012 Cover makeover?

Pierre Balmain: Balmain Cheaper Version
Balmain launches its new line called Pierre Balmain, the cheaper version. For Spring 2012, Pierre Balmain offers tees starting at €120 ($174), jeans at €250 ($363), jackets at €350 ($508), and suits at €650 ($944).

MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet: Leighton Meester in Balmain Fall 2011

Leighton Meester in Balmain Fall 2011, 2011 MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet
"Gossip Girl" Actress Leighton Meester worked the 2011 MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet wearing a heavily beaded shift dress by Balmain from the House's Fall 2011 Collection. You can see a "version" of the dress above from the runway. These girls love a shift/tunic dress. Easy-breezy and heck--there's room to eat!!! Love the side-seam pockets (room for lipstick, credit cards and well...never mind). The strappy heels she wore were a much better choice than those white above-the-ankle booties seen on the Balmain Fall 2011 Runway. The clean center-parted hair goes well with such an embellished dress.
Do we like?
Update: Sorry I mistakenly put the wrong Balmain dress in the photo composite above. Same collection different dress. I think both are great!

Kristen Stewart in Balmain Spring 2011, 2011 MTV Movie AwardsActress Kristen Stewart showed up to tonight's MTV Movie Awards wearing a strapless mini dress. But not just any Strapless Mini Dress. A red leather, safety pin studded one from Balmain Spring 2011 designed by no-longer House Designer at Balmain, Christophe Decarmin. For that Spring 2011 Collection, the House of Balmain only showed a jacket version (on Supermodel Carmen Kass) in the same fabric. But on Kristen, it was made into a strapless mini dress. I think it's perfect for the MTV Movie Awards: Rocker Chic-meets-Rebel-Francophile-Couture. The only thing: Is that part of her black bra showing? Not sure if that's supposed to be there. Now, as a designer, I know, that when I design and create dresses like this--there is a BUILT-IN Bustier in the dress, thereby basically telling the wearer "Don't you DARE wear another undergarment". But I realize, sometimes, it's necessary.
What do you guys think? Yeay? Or Nay?
